One day LCA & SimaPro training

The aim of the one-day training is to introduce the basics of performing an LCA with SimaPro. The training is intended to shorten the time to get acquainted with SimaPro considerably.

Topics
The main topics in this training are:

Introduction to the structure of SimaPro--understanding databases, projects, and libraries

Hands on experience with SimaPro: define a project, enter LCI data; develop a process tree

Introduction to allocation and impact assessment methodologies

Hands on experience with SimaPro: Use parameters, apply inventory methods and interpret the results

End-of-life scenarios, data collection, and uncertainty (time permitting)

Wrap-up: how to organize projects and databases

Trainer
The trainer will be one of our consulting staff having extensive experience conducting advanced LCA projects in a variety of industries. The attendees need basic knowledge of the basic principles underlying LCA, and some experience using Windows software.


Prerequisites
Delegates are expected to install and run the SimaPro software (demo or licensed) and to read the demo manual and perform the exercises described before they attend the course. The helpdesk is available to guide you through the use of the demo if needed.

Upon registration, we will send a complimentary copy of the SimaPro user manual. We recommend reading this manual before the course.

Conditions
The maximum number of trainees for each course is 10.

EarthShift reserves the right to make changes in the program and the trainers or to cancel the training if enrolment criteria are not met or when conditions beyond its control prevail. In such cases, every effort will be made to contact each trainee and an alternative will be offered. If training is not held at all for any reason EarthShift is limited to refund of the training fee only.
